The problem is that most standard heating elements are messy. They shed microscopic debris every time they heat up and cool down. It’s a disaster waiting to happen. Getting the heat just right It’s not just about being clean; it’s about being precise. We tune these lamps for consistent short-wave IR. It sinks into the wafer surface quickly and evenly. You get a fast heat-up and a thermal profile that doesn’t leave any cold spots on the substrate. Now, there is a catch. High-purity quartz is a bit delicate. It can handle the heat shock, but it can’t handle being dropped or bumped. And a quick tip: stick to vacuum-compatible mounting hardware. If you don’t, you’re just inviting new contamination back into your chamber, which defeats the whole point. Fitting them into your setup We designed these to be simple drop-in replacements.
