Power, Voltage, and Size—Without the Headache
Here’s the thing: a typical unit runs on 400V. It pulls serious current to hit about 2500W of power, all packed into a 300mm tube. That voltage choice is intentional. It means you can plug straight into a standard three-phase industrial supply—no extra transformer needed. And that 300mm length? It’s not random. It gives you enough heating coverage for the critical part of the pipe, while staying small enough to slip into tight machine spaces.
What’s Inside: Quartz, Halogen, and Tough Connections
The heating element lives inside a quartz tube, filled with halogen gas. This design handles rapid heating and cooling without giving up. It’s built for the stop-start reality of industrial cycles. The tube surface is coated to manage infrared output and keep the element protected. For connections, we use R7s or SK15 connectors. Industrial-grade. They handle the high current without getting hot under pressure, and they make the lamp a simple, drop-in replacement when it’s time to service.
Where It Shines—And What to Keep in Mind
These heaters are a natural fit for pipe heating, plastic processing, and other jobs that demand high heat density. The payoff is speed. The concentrated output heats the pipe fast, so you spend less time waiting around for warm-up. But there’s a trade-off: that 2500W punch creates a lot of localized heat. So your machine’s cooling system needs to be up to the task—keeping nearby electronics and components in their comfort zone.
