We built this digital thermostat heater for the moments on the factory floor when you absolutely can’t mess around with temperature. Think of it as a high-density heat source for industrial work where you needtight control and a lightning-fast response. It pairs a shortwave halogen element with a digital control interface, giving you precise heat exactly when you need it—especially for jobs like PET blowing and other thermal forming.
A quick look under the hood
This heater runs at 400V and 2500W, packing serious power into a small footprint. That’s the whole point—intense heat without taking up a ton of space. The 300mm tube keeps the heat focused in one tight zone, so you can hit your target temperature fast without having to overhaul your whole machine. And running at 400V helps keep the current down for the same power. In practical terms, that means smaller wiring and less strain on connections. Less hassle on the shop floor. Always a win.
What it’s made of, and why it matters
Inside, the shortwave halogen element sits in a quartz envelope with a reflective coating. That coating is doing the heavy lifting—it directs infrared energy straight ahead, instead of letting it spill out to the sides. That’s huge. It protects nearby parts and makes your process more repeatable, day after day. Then there’s the R7s connector. It’s a simple, two-pin setup that keeps wiring clean and gives you a solid mechanical and electrical fit. We went with it because it holds up to vibration, and when it’s time to replace the element, it’s a straightforward drop-in. No drama.
Where it shines—and what to keep in mind
On a PET blowing line, you need heat on demand and control you can trust. The digital thermostat keeps the setpoint steady, so you get less drift and fewer scrapped parts. The halogen tube responds quickly to power changes, so your cycle times stay tight. Now, here’s the trade-off: with 2500W of density, you do need proper cooling and thermal shielding around the zone. Plan your airflow and guarding up front, and you’ll get repeatable heat without hot spots. Do that, and the whole system settles into a rhythm—predictable, consistent, and ready when you are.
